Meditation is not as hard as some make it sound, in fact it is one of the easiest things in the world to do.
STEP 1. Turn off phones, television, computers, iPads, iPods, etc ( oh wow can you hear that, it’s called silence )
Step 2, find a place that you can be comfortable, quiet, and relaxed. ( yes for beginners the bed or couch is fine)
Step 3, get comfortable, take 3 deep inhalations ( exhalation is a given) tense the body on each inhale and then release on the exhale. ( feel that, it’s total body relaxation and release)
Step 4, now that your body is prepared it’s time for the mind. All those little must do racing through ignore them and let them keep floating away. Start to focus on a single thing say a warm white light surrounding the entire body, feel it, taste it, smell it, close your eyes if you can to turn off the visual stimulation.
Step 4, stay for 30-50 steady breathes to start with. ( longer if capable)
Step 5, congratulations you just meditated for 5-10mins on your first go. Bet you feel like you have just woken up and your body is relaxed but starting to come alive with a new vibrancy that you never felt before.
Step 6, try again a least 1-2 times a week and notice the change I. The way your mind, body and soul feels after a few weeks.
Yes meditation is not hard to do, training the body to stay still is a little harder and settling the mind harder again but doing this just for a short time every day can improve concentration, communication, health and fitness.
So in conclusion give it a go and stay beautiful.
